American Express 美国运通宣布，部分高端信用卡将新增免费 Cell Phone Protection 手机保险福利，手机被盗、损伤（包括碎屏）都可以赔。
哪些 Amex 运通卡将新增手机保险
2021 年 4 月 1 日开始，以下运通高端信用卡将新增手机保险：
- Amex Centurion 运通黑卡个人、商业版
- Amex Platinum Card, Business Platinum Card 运通白金卡个人版、商业版，包括 Schwab, Morgan Stanley 等等各种版本
- Delta SkyMiles Platinum, Delta SkyMiles Platinum Business 达美航空白金卡个人版、商业版
- Delta SkyMiles Reserve, Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business 达美航空 Reserve 卡个人版、商业版
哪些情况可以通过 Cell Phone Protection 理赔？
使用上面这些运通卡交话费即可获得免费保险，包括的情况有
- 手机被盗或者损伤，包括碎屏，可以赔偿维修、或者 replacement
- 每次 claim 最多赔偿 $800，其中 $50 deductible 要自付
- 每张卡每年最多获赔 $1,600
- 保险在交话费后的下个月 1 号生效
- 需在 90 天内提交 claim
不包括的情况有
- 手机丢失不能赔偿（被盗可以赔偿）Cellular Wireless Telephones that are lost or Mysterious Disappearance
- 非官方配件不能赔偿 accessories other than the standard battery and standard antenna provided by the manufacturer
- Pre-paid plan 购买的手机，Eligible Cellular Wireless Telephones which have been rented, leased, borrowed or Cellular Wireless Telephones that are received as part of a pre-paid plan
- 如果取消信用卡，保险即刻失效

如何使用 Amex 手机保险理赔
需要 90 天内拨打电话 1-833-784-1467 提交 claim，120 天内需要提交证明材料。可能需要的材料有：
- 卡的账单，为了看到有用这张卡交话费
- 当前手机话费账单
- 手机购买小票，或者其他可以证明材料 sufficient proof of the Eligible Cellular Wireless Telephone model currently linked to the Eligible Person’s Eligible Cellular Wireless Telephone account
- 如果手机损伤理赔，需要有照片，以及维修价格预估
- 如果手机被盗理赔，需要有被盗 48 小时内 police report
总结
虽然也有一些信用卡提供手机保险，例如 Chase IHG, Wells Fargo Propel，但是很多不包括 cosmetic damage，碎屏正属于这一类。
而且运通只要求上一个月交话费就可以获得免费保险，可以说是很厚道的。
